A bit of a twist & pull action is needed to get the close fitting cap off, in my experience.The ventilated cap has the ‘PaperMate’ 2-heart logo embellished discreetly on the functional shirt clip and it usefully fits over the opposite end when using (but is also a bit hard to get off).In WHITE lettering on one side of the barrel is:♦ PaperMate ~ InkJoy ~ 100 ~ 0.5 XFThe triangular barrel makes them a bit chunky but they are very light & comfortable in hand. The ink lasts a good long while and flows well, unless writing at an angle. The point can feel a bit scratchy on rougher paper textures, also in my experience.The ink colour transferred is not a JET BLACK but is no lighter than my usual brand of BLACK ballpoint, and, the price point at the time of order was excellent for 2 pens as part of the ‘Amazon Add-On Programme’.[14 images attached]Superb pens! The nicest deep, dark, sumptuous black writing of any pen out there.I mean it – I’m totally OCD about pens: and these are unbeatable in terms of the quality of writing they produce. Those posh Waterman/Parker pens don’t come close. And I’ve tried them all! [The only other pen that could come close is a Pentel Superb].With these pens, you get a lovely, smooth, deep black line, right from the off! No need to wear them in, like you do a Bic orange. Because the ink flows so nicely to the nib, you get a lovely smooth, dark, luxurious line. Because a decent amount of ink gets to the nib so readily, you can sometimes get a bit of blobbing, but the occasional small ink blob adds a lot of character to your script. Because the nib is so fine, you can make your writing really “hi-res”.I really wish you could use the ink refill inside these in a more “posh” pen. The cheap outside of these pens belie the gorgeous quality of the writing these beauties generate. It would be great if you could make them work with a Parker/ Waterman/Montblanc or something.Because I’m so fussy about these things, I’ve found I use these pens all the time, whilst my posh pens languish in the drawer. Unfortunately they just don’t come close to the quality of writing of these little beauties.As a bonus, they cost next to nothing to buy.I really can't fault these pens. Reviews have said they cut through the paper, I have not done that, but then I dont put a lot of pressure on the pen when I'm writing.I've had them about 6 months and I've went through about 2 pens.Whenever someone from work asks to borrow my len, I always have to make sure they give it back or else they'll put it in thier pocket. They always say how good it is and ask where did I get it...I'd just buy it... I think its one the best pens around...I love the extra fine nib on these; I can not write extra small and make sense of it. Buy these, it will be a discovery.I really love this brand pen especially Inkjoy 1.0 m which is one of my favorites ballpoint pens. Because I personally like a fine point, I was so happy to find out there are Inkjoy 0.5mm available on Amazon and ordered 10 packages (minimum number to be ordered) immediately. But I only received 9 packages which I was not bothered to ask another one. The quality of the pen is very disappointing. It doesn't write smoothly at all and feels very dry. I will not buy it anymore. For the same point, I would buy jetstream.
