The Pentel Wow! retractable ballpoint pen offers a distinctive design that stands out in a crowd. The unique triangular-shaped barrel comes in variety of stylish, transparent colors to match your own personal taste. The latex-free grip is also triangular, which makes it easy to hold and keeps the pen from rolling off your desk. To advance the tip, simply click the top; click the side button to retract. 1.0mm metal tip writes medium lines. The ink colors match the barrel colors for easy color selection. All Wow! pens are covered by Pentel’s exclusive limited lifetime warranty.

These are a great color, strong enough that you can read it, but also great for underlining in books!Love these pens!Package arrived on time and in appropriate packaging. These pens are a triangle shape, which to me is very comfortable. These pens have the clicking/tab motion. The ink is just very light and not the bold red that I was hoping to get. A good pen, just not a great red pen for me.I expected the green color to be dark, like the depicted picture. It is light green. Most of them came in broken from the clip but I love the color and gripI use the Pentel WOW! ballpoint pens exclusively, and have for about 5 years. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:- The Retraction Button. This is the unique part of the pen that keeps me buying them. The button that retracts the tip of the pen is located on the upper side. Though some have complained that the whole mechanism gets stuck, I have never had this issue. The button is something that I actually play with when in meetings or VTCs. With a little practice, you can lock and unlock the pen silently thus providing an outlet for bored or nervous habits. Huge plus for me.- The Look. They are cheap plastic, but the all black appearance makes them look a bit sharper. No complaints for daily office use.- The Feel. I prefer a light pen with a solid rubber grip, and these fit the bill.- Somewhat unique. I have never found someone in my office that uses the same pen. They are still mass-produced, but seem just unique enough that I can always find where I left my pen.Con:- The grip. The grip feels nice and is usually effective, but on occasion it will slip up or down. Most pens don't have this issue, but in the 150+ that I've used, its been enough of an issue to note here.Side note: I have tried the blue and red versions of this pen (they came in multi-packs), and do not care for them. The black plastic looks much nicer, and I prefer gel pens for those colors anyways.Bottom line: These are nice pens at a decent value, and I will continue to keep buying them due to their ergonomics and side tip release button.I love this ink pen. Would recommendThis "PENTEL WOW! BALL POINT PENS, MEDIUM TIP BLACK/RED/BLUE INK, 18-PACK, (BK440BP18M)" does really SEEM to be a big bargain. 18 pens for under $10! I had had much satisfaction from previously buying the black pens, (they write very well, easily, and darkly), and wanted to see how the Blue and Red pens wrote. With 18 pens and three colours, one might expect to get 6 of each colour. Nope. One gets only 4 red pens, and 6 blue ones, with the remaining 8 pens in black. This might seem to be a disappointment -- but on actually using the pens, it proves only a partial disappointment. The black pens perform flawlessly, as before, with a nice dark line that flows onto the page with almost no effort. The blue pens perform similarly. But the red pens? The line is SO light as to require going over at least once, if one wants to see the red-ink writing clearly. The red-ink point DOES glide as easily as the blue or the black -- but with the thin and very light red produced, one must, as I said, go over the line again for easily-viewable results. Either that, or press down REAL HARD when making a one-line ink-line.These pens are made in India. I, for one, am happy to buy anything that is NOT"Made in China" -- and have found most things I have bought that are "Made In India" to be of good quality.Except, however, for the red pens in this pack.I have no experience with Red Pentel "Wow" Pens, bought as one-colour packs, without the blue or black pens. I can only hope that Red Pentel "Wow" Pens, bought in an only-red-pen pack, work better than the ones I have used in this multi-colour pen pack. But a red Pentel "Wow" Pen is a Red Pentel "Wow" pen -- and, though I could be (happily), wrong, I somehow doubt there is any difference. So, I'll get Pentel "Wow" Pens in Black and in Blue, from now on. I will look elsewhere for red pens, though.I am a private tutor and two of my pupils have writing problems with dyspraxia. They have experienced the benefit of triangular grip pencils, but the older one is now reaching the exam age, having to learn to write in pens. They have both tried these and the results are remarkable. Their motivation levels have gone up even further. Thank you so much. These pens are great for children that have dyspraxia and struggle with holding pens. They are triangular in shape so that they can hold the pen in a much better position without it hurting their hands.Only 1 pen arrived NOT a pack of 12?! Complained and was told theyd semd out replacement but only sent out 1 pen again! Had to request full refund in the endA couple of my pens won't retract or extend the nib. A piece of plastic in the top of the barrel loses its flexibility and won't engage properly. As a consequence the pen won't retract or extend - can't be used - and is only fit for the bin. Disappointing. These have definitely helped my teenage daughters writing - formation of letters do more legible.
