I grew up using fountain pens back in the old country and just now am getting back into them. This was my first fountain pen purchase since I've decided to return to them. For $45, the pen had a cheap, plastic-like feeling to it. The faux chrome finish looks a lot nicer in the amazon picture than it does in person.The packaging was exceptionally cheap-looking. Makes you feel like you've bought a cheap $5 pen at a drugstore as a last minute gift.On the plus side, the pen did write well. It also comes with a plunger-style refillable cartridge and one blue plus one black cartridge.Most definitely not the high quality I associate with Sheaffer from my childhood. For $10, I would have kept it since it writes well, for $45 I expect more. The pen is going back to Amazon.
